TheLastStarFighter: young pencil pusher has much to learn, much to learn
TheLastStarFighter: ๐Ÿ˜‰
PoluOwau: ah great Star Fighter, we are in different wars
PoluOwau: much different
TheLastStarFighter: besides, I’m not judge jury and executioner, just a mere starfighter on the front lines.
PoluOwau: there is much that we both have to learn
TheLastStarFighter: Judge Dredd is a different movie
PoluOwau: I see
PoluOwau: so you’re in a movie?
PoluOwau: haha
TheLastStarFighter: lol, I take it you’ve never seen ‘The Last Starfighter’ then.
PoluOwau: no, I am enterally captured in a movie called “Office Space”
TheLastStarFighter: you’re prolly too young, it was oneof those classic feel good 80’s movies about a young guy from a trailer park who gets picked up by an alien and taken off to fight the war for good.
PoluOwau: I’m too young?!
TheLastStarFighter: yea
PoluOwau: hello, Mr. Starfighter, you’re only a year older than me
PoluOwau: don’t go playing old wise and better on me
TheLastStarFighter: LOL
TheLastStarFighter: well, it doesn’t change the fact that you didn’t see it ๐Ÿ™‚
PoluOwau: well have you ever seen Tron?
TheLastStarFighter: only about 20 times
PoluOwau: what about The Great Beyond?
TheLastStarFighter: at least 5 times
PoluOwau: haha, LIAR!
PoluOwau: it doesn’t exist!
PoluOwau: haha
TheLastStarFighter: hahaha, now who is the evil one? I figured you’d do that anyways
PoluOwau: that doesn’t excuse you’re lying about it great one
TheLastStarFighter: My user supplied me with bad data!
PoluOwau: riiiight
PoluOwau: excuses excuses
PoluOwau: so how do I know you’ve actually seen Tron?
TheLastStarFighter: two words…
TheLastStarFighter: light cycles !!!!!!!!!!!!
PoluOwau: uh huh
PoluOwau: riiiight
TheLastStarFighter: best part of the whole movie
PoluOwau: okay, what about Space Camp?
TheLastStarFighter: sounds familiar…
TheLastStarFighter: that the one where the kids think they are going to space but they are in a simulator?
TheLastStarFighter: what about Explorers, you seen that?
PoluOwau: awhhh, is the alzhemiers setting in old one?
PoluOwau: nope, haven’t seen it, but I’ve heard of The Explorers
TheLastStarFighter: didn’t anyone ever teach you to respect those older and wiser than you?
PoluOwau: not just plain Explorers
PoluOwau: yea sure
TheLastStarFighter: I see
TheLastStarFighter: maybe I should have a little talk with your parents
PoluOwau: but to only grace it to those who don’t irk those younger than them
PoluOwau: riiiight
PoluOwau: oh wait, or was it aggrivate?
TheLastStarFighter: as opposed to….?
PoluOwau: what?
PoluOwau: opposed to what?
PoluOwau: there was no opposing in that verse
TheLastStarFighter: aggrivate as opposed to what?
PoluOwau: hmm
PoluOwau: interesting
PoluOwau: so this is all a farse?
PoluOwau: *hanging head* and to think I trusted you
PoluOwau: *sniffle*
PoluOwau: and it’s all a big joke
TheLastStarFighter: huh?
PoluOwau: :’C
TheLastStarFighter: watch the movie… I come back to earth ๐Ÿ™‚
PoluOwau: but it’s a movie!!
PoluOwau: I thought you were a real starfighter
PoluOwau: I’m eternally trapped in “Office Space” and you’re stuck in fantasy computer video game land
TheLastStarFighter: think what you want
PoluOwau: oh that’s persuasive
PoluOwau: you’re slowly loosing my respect
PoluOwau: *loosing grip*
TheLastStarFighter: watch the movie, its very close to my story. maybe you will understand
PoluOwau: you really do have a way of making people feel inferior
TheLastStarFighter: lol, where the heck did that come from?
PoluOwau: “too young” “don’t understand”
TheLastStarFighter: hmmm, maybe its because you are? ever think of that huh?
PoluOwau: “respect those older and wiser”
PoluOwau: oh, that’s just great
TheLastStarFighter: that’s right, you should
PoluOwau: hmmm, yea, an attitude like that won’t inspire respect from very many people
TheLastStarFighter: bet you’d trip an old lady crossing the street too
TheLastStarFighter: LOL
PoluOwau: only if I thought it was you

TheLastStarFighter: hey look, I gotta jet to school
TheLastStarFighter: ttyl
TheLastStarFighter: 3:-0 mooooo
PoluOwau: bye, don’t let the door hit you on the way out, you might fall and break a hip or something

The Forgotten War

PoluOwau: Mr. Star Fighter..shouldn’t you be out saving the world?
PoluOwau: or at least helping old ladies cross the street?
TheLastStarFighter: I am, this is my remote access from my ship
PoluOwau: oh I see
PoluOwau: so how does that work?
PoluOwau: is the world currently at peace or something?
TheLastStarFighter: the shores of the federations are pretty quiet as of late…
TheLastStarFighter: so how are you serving our great alliance? More paperwork?
PoluOwau: yes indeed
PoluOwau: there is no greater task to serve your planet than paperwork
PoluOwau: it’s the dirt that nobody else wants to do
PoluOwau: there are no small parts…
TheLastStarFighter: oh I see
TheLastStarFighter: some would not agree with that
TheLastStarFighter: papers don’t shoot back
PoluOwau: oh but they do
PoluOwau: in a quiet, but financially detramental way
TheLastStarFighter: oh I see
TheLastStarFighter: quiet and detrimental lazer blasts coming from paper huh?
PoluOwau: oh, don’t underestimate the power of a bill
PoluOwau: lemme tell ya!
PoluOwau: It’s the forgotten war
TheLastStarFighter: forgotten war huh?
TheLastStarFighter: ๐Ÿ™‚
PoluOwau: papercuts, black hands, wrinkled and confused forheads…
PoluOwau: it’s not a pretty sight
TheLastStarFighter: oh I see
PoluOwau: riiiiight, it’s okay kiddo…it’s one of those things where you’d have to have been there to realize the gravness of it
PoluOwau: you’d have to see the coalating process for yourself
TheLastStarFighter: guess so
PoluOwau: *sigh* be glad that you haven’t, Soldier
TheLastStarFighter: sound like pure life and death situations
PoluOwau: it is…I’ve lost many close friends
PoluOwau: you practically have to be desensitized
PoluOwau: it’s not for the weak stomachs that’s for sure

Super Brief Update…..stream of consciousness…

Parent’s coming home this weekend…I’m leaving the end of this week to go back to school…not sure if I’m ready…Going to miss friends and kitties…family too I guess….probably not getting my hair cut until December…excited to start new women’s Bible study with Heather (friend at SPU)…going to really miss old women’s Bible study here at home….going to miss my jr.high girls Bible study…other things or people I’m going to miss: Loreanne, Emily, Lance, Chris, brother (I guess, grrrr), parents, kitties, Brad, Jared, Tim, Kenny, Chris (Fozzy Bear, Loreanne knows who I’m talking about), Johan, Quinn (but I’ll see him in Washington), and a million other things I can’t think of right now. I had a great weekend. Jenny didn’t win the Miss America pagent, but she won in our hearts…we love you Jenny! I love my new Maroon 5 cd I burned….I miss my Silverchair cd that Loreanne burned for me…I lost my Angel sunglasses (the only cool pair I own)…pizza will be here shortly…I have to pay…rats! I have no money to spend…I haven’t gotten my check from A&F…I haven’t gone back there since…a long time ago…I’m missing Jeff (Lord help me!)…I find comfort in: the Lord and knowing Loreanne knows exactly how I feel…I praise God for true sisters in Christ. I’m going to miss: the California weather, watching sunsets from my patio in the back yard, long walks or jogs to the park, candle lit prayer sessions in my room…by myself, (we can’t have candles in the dorms at school, poo on them!), sitting outside on the cool green grass in the warm sun feeling the breeze tickle my shoulders and smelling the sweet aroma of my home state on a beautiful summer day, waking up early when I don’t have to and taking a jog on a crisp sunshine filled morning, waving to neighbors and watching children play in the sprinklers, evening walks with my dad or my brother…pampering parties with my best friend…making my own pasta, soup or biscuts…making my own chocolate chip cookies with my Bible study girls…lounging by the pool with Quinn or going to baseball or soccer games with Quinn, going to concerts with my closest friends, being treated like a princess by Tim, being taken to dinner and the theater by Brad, late night shifts at A&F with friends…so much more, oh so much more…

Look at the moon tonight…

The moon is beautiful and I am going to miss it when I go back to school. Because in Seattle, you don’t get to see the moon that often during the fall and winter quarters. Goodbye beautiful full moon…goodbye crystal clear skies…goodbye wonderful California…I will miss you dearly and all those I love who live within your borders…*sniffle*

Okay, so I figured it out…

Hooray for the smart blonde! *patting self on the back* I figured I’d simply post the entire picture as my icon for a while and not change it until everyone has had a chance to view it and voice their opinion. (Assuming they care…whatever)

Well, I discovered this morning that a lot of people I know already have livejournals. It was a nice suprise. I also learned from one of my Bible study girls that there was an article in the paper last month about the LiveJournal site. I didn’t know this was such a big trend. hmmm, I don’t like being too trendy…oh well.

I only have less than a week left here at home. Then it’s back to Seattle with me! I’m kind of anxious, but nervous at the same time. I want to go…but I don’t..you know?
I’m experiencing that weird feeling again…it’s as though life is an ill fitting suit…it touches me everywhere but fits nowhere.

I brought the bettas to work this morning. I figured, my brother doesn’t want them anymore and he doesn’t take care of them…so I’ll give them to someone who will appreciate them. So I gave them to Betti, a fellow office employee. She loves them and even though I will miss them…I can rest easy knowing that they are being taken care of. Besides, I still have Jimmy!

It’s such a strange time. How is it that life can be so happy and so sad at the same time? It’s like one of those analogies: ice and steam are two different things, but at the same time they are both still water. Trippy. I’m so happy right now looking back on the wonderful and exciting summer I had…but I’m sad that I have to leave again…I’m frustrated with boys, and yet I really love and appreciate the ones that are a part of my life right now. I love my beautiful home in California…but I’m excited to go back to Seattle and continue building my new life away from home. I love my best friend and I don’t want to leave her…and…there’s no flip side to that…I still don’t want to leave her. I love my kitty cats and I don’t want to leave them….but I certainly won’t miss the litter box or the gross nasty bathroom floor! I could go on and on. But I’ll spare you the time.
I look forward to changes…but I miss all that is familiar. My stomach flips at the odd feeling of misplacement…Lord be with me as I find my way in life and discover the path You have set out before me.

Hair Options

Okay, so I’m deciding between the picture icon I used for my last entry and the one I am using now for this entry. Let me know which one you like better! Or…if you have any suggestions, please please please post them! I’d love to get your opinions.

Miss America

I made a bet the other day that if Dug tried out for Survivor and made it, then I would try out for Miss America. *sigh* I think that not many people realize how much harder it is to make it to a Miss America pagent than it is to make it on Survivor. Oh well, Jenny Glover (she’s Miss California and you can watch her compete for Miss America on Saturday), her mom has been trying to get my mom to let me compete in those things for years. Perhaps God does have a future ready for me in the wide world of modeling, pagents and visual media. Who knows? I certainly don’t.

By the way, I’ve been thinking about trying out a boy cut again. I had short spiked hair when I was in kindergarten…I kind want to try something like that again…just for the change.

Alright, I’ve been called many things in my time…but real quick..here are two of the most recent nicknames I’ve picked up this summer:
Butterfly and Cupcake. Honestly! Where do these people come up with these names!? haha. I’ll explain them and where I was branded later. Sleepy time now…for reals this time…I mean it..no..seriously…I’m gone…

A wonderful concluding adventure…

Quinn took me to the A’s game last night. It was a lot of fun. His friend Shane was visiting and they are going to drive back to school together in a few days. So Shane came to the game too. In fact, he was quite a gentleman and he paid for my second ticket. Allow me to explain. We all had to buy our tickets again because Quinn accidently forgot the tickets at the house and we didn’t have time to drive all the way back to his house. He felt really bad about that. But I convinced him it was okay, they were only $7 tickets. hehe.
The game itself wasn’t exciting, but conversation is always a nice compensation. Quinn and I can always find something interesting to talk about. OH! and guess who threw the first pitch? Think of the coolest martial artist in the world…that’s right Jackie Chan!!!! I was so excited! I took lots of pictures and I got a Jackie Chan mask that I’m going to post on the wall in my dorm room. *really big smile*
I bet my roommate will love that…hehe.
After the game we went to In-N-Out. I showed the guys how In-N-Out has Bible verses on the bottom of their cups and I was encouraged when I heard Shane quote John 3:16 verbatim. I was like “That’s so cool to hear you say that!”. I know that a lot of people know that verse more than any other, but it’s still refreshing to hear it quoted by a stranger every once in a while. Ya know?
So this was the last time that Quinn and I will get to hang out this summer. I gave him a big hug when we said good-bye and I gave him my thank you note. He sent me an email that same night thanking me for the thank you note..hehe. How sweet. I hope we get to hang out more when we get back to Washington. It feels like I have to say good-bye everytime I get attached again. I hate that. I only got to see Jxxxx for one day before I had to say good-bye again. I mean, I still get to talk to him via email and AIM, but it’s not the same. I don’t know if I can say good-bye to Loreanne and all my other friends when I have to leave again. Sure I’ll get to see all my friends in Seattle, but I’ll always feel like I’m leaving someone behind. *sigh* Why can’t everyone just be within an hour’s drive from where ever I am? Well, I suppose that’s the way things go.
So anyway, I’m getting sleepy. I’m going to finish watching the new “Twighlight Zone”…neato. Later all my friends, till tomorrow!
