Spring break was great…I’m back at school now. I like my classes. I’d made a vow to work as hard as I can at doing my best in all of them. I’m not going to give too much slack this time!
During break I got two new cds that I really like. Evanescence is the perfect mix between celtic and alternative. It’s like Celtic rock or something. Whatever it is, I like it. I don’t think my roommate shares my appreciation though, hehe. I also got the Nora Jones cd. That’s quality. I like that one a lot too. I would highly recommend both cds to anyone.
I also got a new pet over break. It’s a neopet, haha. It’s this program that my jr.high girls signed me up in. It’s cute…if you ever feel like killing time. I have one dragon-rabbit thing that I named Greenbean or something. Apparently his purpose in life is to make as many friends as possible and just be cute all the time. haha. Oh, and he eats just about anything and he gets these really sad eyes if you neglect him for more than a couple of days. Oops, hehe. Sorry Greenbean, but life takes up time!
It’s interesting how everyone feels the need to ‘help’ you make decisions. It’s come down to two guys in my parents’ eyes. Brad and Jared. They are rooting for Brad…I think my brother is rooting for him too. Honestly, I don’t know! I’m fond of them both. My brother was asking me all sorts of questions when we were in the car the other day. He was giving them points based on how I answered and according to his score-keeping, the guys tied. I dunno what to do. Then my dad starts talking about it while we were hanging my curtains tonight. He talks about how he’d hate to see me marry somebody who isn’t very affectionate. He said that Jared’s older sister and a potential suiter were introduced for something at church the other day and my dad said they weren’t very warm toward each other. I dunno, but he was just saying how he hasn’t noticed Jared’s parents as being affectionate toward each other in front of their kids. Whatever he was getting at, I think he was saying that he recommended Brad over Jared. I’m so confused! I’m tired, I’m going to bed…See you at the gym tomorrow Loreanne!
Wow, it’s been a while since my last post. So much stuff has been going on. I’m home for Spring Break and it’s nice to sort of just chill for a while. It’s even better to get back into working out so I can tone up for Spring quarter. I’m in the office right now, my brother has work he has to do and he saw this as a great opportunity for ‘talkie time’. It’s nice to hang out with my bro again. Another exciting thing that happened was that J*** IMed my bro and he might come to my bro’s wedding! It’ll be so good to see him again! I hope he can come. He also told my bro that his band is doing really well and that five record people are fighting to sign them on their label.
The war is heating up and I just found out that my cousin (well, sort of my cousin), is just a few miles outside Kuwait City! I think their troop went into the city yesterday. Keep him in your prayers.
I hung out with Lance last night. We went and saw Dreamcatcher. It’s a freaky movie! It was fun. Then we went back to my place, I made dinner and we sat and chatted with my folks for a while. It’s great to see Lance again, I’d almost forgotten how fun it was to hang out with him.
I went and visited Loreanne at work yesterday. hehe. I surprised her, it was fun! I look forward to spending as much time with her as I can before I go back to school.
Let’s see…what else is exciting….Oh! My mom redecorated the house again and we got a new hot tub. Oh it was wonderful to sit in a hot tub again and look up at the stars. I’m soooo spoiled!
So anyway, my mom redecorated my room a bit and now that I’m home, we’re putting the finishing touches on it because she was hesitant to do anything more to it without getting my opinion first. I’m glad she did, because the style of room I wanted was a bit different than she thought. haha. I’m doing my room in a vintage travel theme. I’m going to have old luggage, a globe, some vintage travel posters, some of my dad’s old vintage flight stuff that he got from my grandpa, lots and lots of old books (which I’m super excited about), and I got this great patch work quilt from the Pottery Barn. It’s really cute and I also found these great pillow shams from Pottery Barn too. And I’m sure you all really care about all of this too…haha. *silence, crickets chirping* Yea, that’s what I thought. Ok, one more cool thing about my new room decor…I’m painting a huge compass on my ceiling. It’s going to have the little hands pointing north, south, east and west. And I think my ceiling fan is going to have to be in the center of it…unless of course I get a new ceiling fan that will match the design of my compass better *thinking…* hmmm, that’d be cool. Oh the possibilities are endless! I can’t wait to get started on painting it! If anyone wants to help, feel free to let me know!
So, some things I am looking forward to…Spencer and Gavin are comming to stay a few days at my house. They needed a place to stay while they’re passing through SF. It’ll be fun to hang out with them.

So yea, on my way to work today I stopped by my mail stop to pick up my mail and lone behold..there is the envelope from Res Life…I knew right away what is was going to tell me. I really didn’t expect to get the job, but you know…it was fun trying. Everybody else was all sympathetic for me…it was almost like they were more upset than I was! haha. Oh well, so it goes, eh?
My friend called me up this afternoon and was like “I just have one question…did you get in? Did you get the PA position?” I was like “Nawh, I didn’t” and he immediately asked “Is there anything I can do? Do you need anything? Flowers? ice cream?” and naturally the first thing that came to my mind was..”Well, since you ask…I’ve always wanted a Yamaha YZF R6…royal blue, silver and white…” haha. He asked!
I’ve come across an issue on our campus that I think is important to address. Homosexuality. If anyone knows a person on the SPU campus that is willing to meet with me in private or is willing to answer a few questions (even via email)…please let me know! I’d love to talk with them and get their side of the story. There was a forum held in Hill Hall last thursday and I wasn’t able to go, but I still want to do a story on it for the Falcon.

Josh took me to Kerry Park to look at the moon and stars tonight after my meeting. We talked and talked. Turns out he found out about the time that Fraser tried to kiss me and he “had words” with him, haha. I was so embarrassed! I was like “Josh! I told you not to do anything about it…I took care of it a long time ago!” He just said, “You said not to do anything, I didn’t…I said something, but I didn’t do anything. You don’t see him walking around in a cast, do you?” Good grief! Men are so…oh I don’t even know. *exasperated sigh* It makes me wonder what else he’s done. haha. Oh boy, that might be why I haven’t seen very many of my guy friends lately.
Anyhow, Jared is comming in 9 days! I’m excited to see him. So that’s something to look forward to. Yippi!
