Notable Men in my life…or sort of in my life…

Here’s a run down of some awesome, admirable men (other than immediate family) that have been a part of my life in some way or another. These men fall in several categories ranging from friends, past significant others or perhaps even potential significant others. The one thing they all share in common is that they have been placed on my list of Notable Men deserving props and kudos for displaying any number of virtues.

Lemon – a loyal friend I met many years ago. Although he lives far far away, he’s always been there to talk and has been a great encouragement.

Steven – another great friend that I met years ago. Our contact has been on and off, but he’s fun to talk to when we do chat. He’s also an excellent writer and a hard core Pearl Jam fan, haha.

blindman – (a.k.a. mr. J) I recently met him this quarter. Very nice guy. He’s a great conversationalist and very receptive. He has treated me like a princess and I am very thankful for that.

Curly – (a.k.a. Kxxx) Curly and I go way back and I think he’s one of the guys that knows the most about me. If I ever asked him to pick out a movie at Blockbuster, you could bet he’d bring back a good one that I would like. He’s always been there for me and I owe him a lot.

Innout – (a.k.a. Zac) An awesome guy I have known since last year. He’s helped me out a lot when it comes to my computer and getting inside info for the Falcon. I admire his perceptiveness and generosity.

Garth – unfortunately dear Garth and I have grown apart. I still talk to him every once in a while. We were very close last year. I hope to build this friendship back up in the future.

Johnny – (a.k.a. juanh) Johnny and I have a unique friendship that really started up toward the end of last year. He is deeply intellectual and I love talking with him. I learn a lot.

Dan J – a new friend that I met in my com and bio classes this year. He’s a senior and is a EE major with amazing prospects in line for his future. Most notable about him is his sense of humor and his gentle manner. He knows the rules, but he doesn’t know the power that he has with them. He says I intrigue him and I think he just means that I shot down the Ashton stereotype that he originally saw in me.

Chris – an orangeman on our brother floor. Let me just say this guy is a stud. When he goes home during the summer he’s a fireman. He’s incredibly easy to get along with and he has a way of always making you feel special and important when you’re with him. I had a great time skating with him last night at the Ashton skate. (this is the same guy that joined me that one night when I went out to look at the stars and pray) If he didn’t have a every other girl on campus chasing him, I might be smitten, haha.

Quinn – another stud, Quinn is the kind of guy that every girl would love to bring home to mom and dad. I met Q when I was working at A&F a few summers ago and we’ve had a blast hanging out ever since. Some notable characteristics – great hugs, ambition, integrity, responsibility and humility (yes, he’s very humble even being as handsome as he is) and he plans ahead!

Tim – a guy from home that I grew up with. I haven’t heard from him very much recently, but he’s still on the notable men list because he has virtues which are worth mentioning. He’s a gentleman, he has integrity and discipline. He also has an amazing devotion to God which is awesome to see.

Luke – the roomie of Curly, Luke has a very practical view on life and has provided amazing insight. He says it like it is and he has, on many occasions, renewed my hope in the male species when I thought all was lost. Luke is on the highly appreciated list in my book.

Jeff – oh boy, I’ll just be blunt about this one…Jeff has been a huge player in my life and I’m not quite sure how to describe him. So I’ll just list his name and let it be.

Drew – Haven’t hung out or really talked in a long time. But we’re still in contact off and on.

Bradford – respectable, authentic, hard working, ambitious, and Godly. He’s fun to hang out with and he has taken me out many times for some awesome dates. He’s fun and practical. I feel privileged to see a side of him that apparently he doesn’t show to other people very often.

Kenny – what can I say? He’s kenny and I love him! haha. He’s the great comedy relief of my life and I will always appreciate his unique views.

Mr. RHMC – ok, I saved the best for last. What I admire most about him is his honesty and integrity. He is receptive and I value his friendship very much. I am thankful for this because he still talks to me despite all that he has learned about me. Also, this guy has to be the most accepting person I know…I have made a fool of myself in front of him more times than I can count and every time, he just laughs and holds out a hand to help me back up out of my pit of embarrassment. haha. I also notice that he has been very careful not to lead me on, which I appreciate very much and I find that very considerate on his part. Because I know he’s very busy and doesn’t have time really to engage in foolish antics, haha.

Naturally there are others that I didn’t have a chance to mention, but I’d just like to say to all the girls reading this…I know guys can be frustrating and heartless sometimes, but it’s still important to notice the better aspects of them as well. More times than not, you find out that those few shortcomings are more than justified. And to all the guys reading this…the same line of thinking can be applied to the women as well.

Hi kiddo, um… this is embarrasing, but, I didn’t write the note about missing class for two weeks… I haven’t been on LiveJournal before tonight for a long time. Well I guess you could mean a different Jared. Which would make me feel very silly. Sorry.
