Work
I feel like I’ve been running at %100 24/7 and I haven’t really accomplished anything. Weird. I think it’s because I haven’t actually written anything of substance since I started this job. I’ve been busy with the actual interviews (among other things, like the bf, hehe). But now, I have less than two and a half months to complete this huge task. I knew this would start piling up. It’s deadline inertia and it’s inevitable.
In other news, I don’t want to be left high and dry when my deadline comes, so I’ve been keeping my eyes open for new job opportunities, roommates and a place to live that I can afford (which, in reality, is nowhere). If you are in need of a writer, or a roommate, let me know! I’m quiet, I don’t eat much or leave big messes. I’m clean and pretty flexible in most situations. I won’t borrow stuff without asking (and I rarely ever need to borrow anything) and I’m pet friendly. I have no baggage except a betta fish named Nessi (who also doesn’t eat much or take up a lot of room). Finally, I listen well, I cook and I clean. Who wouldn’t want to live with me! *glistening smile*
Just start writing! Set aside some time each day to focus on it, I also hear that leaving it at the end of the day in the middle of something (an idea or sentence even) can help you slip into the grove the next day. You can do it…anyway, you are adorable—someone will take you into their loving home. 🙂
Thank you for your encouragement Harmony! By the way, did you ever see my posts about the Writer’s group I have going? You should totally join us the next time we meet!
And happy birthday! Sorry I couldn’t make it to the August birthday Bash Friday. I’ll take you to coffee sometime soon to make up for it and we can talk about writer’s stuff. It’ll be fun! Let me know when you’re available. 🙂
Come live with me… I’m hoping to get hired on full time towards the end of September at which point I want to try to find a place with in a 30 min bart ride to SF in the east bay.
That would be cool Kenny. But I’m looking for a place and a roommate in the Seattle area because that’s where most of my professional connections are and that’s where my boyfriend is. 🙂 But if things change, I’ll definitely be giving you a call!
So you are never coming back? How sad…
Well, I don’t exactly know. It completely depends on where God provides work. It’s really hard not knowing what’s coming next, but I suppose that’s what the life of a freelance writer is like. It’s nerve wracking.
