I was going to post about this video in my own journal a couple months ago but I had not gotten around to doing it. I formed the opposite opinion about it. There were definitely things I had to ignore but overall I agreed with how invaluable the lesson is. What about the older guy who recovered from paralysis and the "vegetable" sentence who ended up being able to walk and talk again? I don't think that we can work miracles with our thoughts but I think they make a huge difference...and ultimately I think that's the point of the video. I think that they want to reach a big audience so they have people from all kinds of backgrounds speaking on the same topic - which means that not all of the interpretations will be agreeable. I think that the overall point is true though.

The Bible teaches the same concept. Read that book I recommended... Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen (this is the one that's on the christian best seller list...he's a pastor). Some other books to look at: The Magic of Thinking Big by David Schwartz (also a Christian author). The Ant and The Elephant by Vince Poscente (this one is more like a story with a moral...it's funny and cute). There are a lot of others books that talk about the same concept.

I think you should take good things from the movie and leave the rest behind. It's like going to the grocery store - you can buy the good stuff or the bad crap.

I'll have to watch those videos you linked. I'm off to the doctor
