Cell phones

Today I got two new cell phones. One I wanted, the other I did not. One has a name that makes sense, the other does not. One is red and called a KRZR Fire, one is blue and called a Blackberry. Blue? Black? Close enough.

The Blackberry is my new work phone. When I first started the job I couldn’t wait to get it. It would be the final step toward acceptance, a mark of achievement, a badge of status. I am official. Professional. I belong.
But now that I’ve watched the professionals for three weeks, I feel exposed to a new reality. To what the Blackberry really is. A ball and chain.

The KRZR on the other hand, is what I have really been waiting for. It’s cool, it’s red, it’s a personal phone. No business involved.

Three phones. Now I really feel important. haha. Now I just have to figure out how to operate all of them.

  1. Good lord, woman, three phones?!
I feel like I haven’t even had time to read LJ lately, subsequently I’m totally out of touch with you, m’dear – what is your job now? Where are you two living?
    Miss you!

We are renting a cute little house in West Seattle and my new job is in Bellevue. I work with a flooring company as a project manager/sales/estimator. It’s a challanging job and I think that’s why I like it. Plus I always have interesting conversations with the excentrics in our office. 🙂
I’d really like to start ABC movie nights at our house soon. Kyle got a really nice projector from work. And if not movie nights, then game nights would be awesome!

  3. Awesome! Sounds great; you should send me your new address sometime. Recently, a large number of my friends have moved to West Seattle.
If you have any sort of movie/game night – please let me know! 🙂
