Things I’m really looking forward to…

In an effort to cheer up my sad sad head, I’ve started thinking about things I’m looking forward to:

*Tomorrow: Miranda is coming over tomorrow for lasanga and MST 3000. Woo hoo!
*Scott’s movie night in a week and a half.
*Cassie’s next movie night. (hooray for Office Space!)
*Thanksgiving
*Christmas with family.
*Christmas shopping!
*Finishing the book and starting the next job that God lines up for me.
*Finding out what job God has lined up for me.
*The next time I can meet with my writer’s group.
*The moment I can spend an entire day painting without an ominous cloud of tasks and to-do’s lingering above my head.
*Watching the rest of Firefly.
*Shopping for my apartment
*Having money to shop for my apartment
*Laying out my next portrait project.
*Having a party at my apartment once it’s all prettied up.
*Chronicles of Narnia

And other things I can’t think of right now.

  1. Definitely just spent the day taking down the Halloween decorations at Rachel’s and then watching 5 straight episodes of Firefly. Yeah, now she’s hooked. We’ve converted yet another to our glorious cause. Then we watched I, Robot with Will Smith, featuring Alan Tudyk, aka Hoban “Wash” Washburn as the robot Sonny. Day O’ Alan is never a day badly spent.
Movie night will happen, and it will be good.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but when I think of you, I think of a writer. I think I’ve learned much more about you by what you’ve written and how you’ve written it than by the conversations we’ve had. Those are cool too, BTW. But I’ve seen several times the wall of notecards, of segments of information just waiting to be combined into an understandable and thoughtful form, and I’ve seen you pull it off repeatedly. I have every confidence in your abilities, both at this task and any other.
    Cheers, Mate.

  2. Oh yeah, and Underworld: Evolution looks incredibly sweet.

    Wash
I had no idea that Hoban was Sonny in i, Robot. That’s so awesome to know! Now I can enjoy it that much more when I see it next. (I gave it to my dad for Christmas last year, haha.)
Thank you for your encouragement. I can’t even begin to tell you how priceless it is to me. 🙂
